TPTEST is an efficient program designed to measure and to provide details about the speed of your Internet connection through a set of tests which measure the TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) in contrast with the UDP (User Datagram Protocol) of your system.

The tool provides two testing modes: the first one, Standard test, is especially created for less initiated users by offering a set of default settings. The test will measure the speed with which your system connects to different reference servers on the Internet.

The second testing mode, Start Test, is recommended to advanced users who can use the "Advanced mode" panel to customize their test and perform it. The measuring principle is the same as in the Standard test, except for the fact that you can select a reference server manually, as well as other characteristics, such as the number of bytes and the testing time.

All in all, the program is a good measuring tool which can be used by anyone to measure their Internet connection speed. Although the tool offers a default test that can be used by beginners to have an idea about their Internet speed, the tool provides more accurate results if the user is able to customize the advanced mode settings.

Pros

  • Standard test for beginners
